FIRST PANELS ANNOUNCED FOR ITC 2009
‘EVERYTHING ELSE IS JUST NOISE’
Working under this year’s tag line of ‘Everything Else Is Just Noise’, we are delighted to announce In The City’s first panellists and keynotes for ITC 2009:
A keynote address from Anthony Volodkin, founder of The Hype Machine.
Bella Union founder Simon Raymonde in conversation with Chelsea and Everton legend, writer and broadcaster Pat Nevin.
‘Break on Through’ – A panel of highly experienced and successful executives talk about their careers and give tips on how best to get into and survive the modern music industry.
Iconic music photographer Gered Mankowitz in conversation about his life and career.
‘India Rising’ & ‘Africa Rising’ – An in-depth look at these two emerging music markets with input from some of the key players on the ground in both territories.
REGISTRATION
Registration is now open at www.inthecity.co.uk and currently costs just £250 plus VAT. To become a full delegate visit www.inthecity.co.uk/register. We are also offering larger groups (5 or more delegates) a further 20% discount – for more information on this, and when specific deadlines for registration are, please contact Gavin Cooke via gavin@inthecity.co.uk.
NEW PODCAST
Throughout 2009, we have been releasing full, unedited versions of some of last year’s panel highlights – all of which are available by visiting www.inthecity.co.uk/podcasts or by subscribing via iTunes.
Hosted by musician and 6Music DJ Tom Robinson, this panel explores the dumbing down of celebrity and implores artists, media and music fans to return to the days when interviews focussed on ethics, politics and principles rather than favourite colours and Big Brother – and the ways that all of the above affects creativity. Featuring Jon McClure, Steve White, Steve Chandra Savale, Peter Hook and Clint Boon.
